Safety Warnings and Care Instructions
Safety & Use Information
All products are created with careful consideration for children’s wellbeing. Our resources have been UKCA tested and are suitable for children aged 3 years and above. As children’s abilities and needs vary - parents, carers and educational professionals are responsible for deciding whether a resource is suitable and for assessing any potential risks. All play activities must be carried out under attentive adult supervision.
Materials & Suitability
Our resin pieces are created using craft grade epoxy resin. Once fully cured, these resins are BPA-free, odour-free, fume-free and VOC-free, making them suitable for creative and educational use.
Resin items are:
-
Not food items
-
Not intended for mouthing or chewing
-
Unsuitable for children who mouth objects
Resources should never be placed in the mouth, licked or sucked.
Our 3D printed resources are produced using PLA, a plant-based plastic commonly used for educational and creative products. PLA is widely recognised for being low odour and safe for general use once printed, making it suitable for supervised play environments.
Due to the presence of small parts, our resources are not suitable for children under 3 years and may present a choking risk.
They are:
-
Intended for children aged 3 years and over
-
Not suitable for mouthing or chewing
-
Designed for play under adult supervision only
Although PLA is durable, it may warp or soften if exposed to high temperatures. For this reason, 3D printed items should be kept away from direct heat, hot water and prolonged sunlight. If an item becomes damaged or develops sharp edges, discontinue use immediately.
Food Themed Play
Food and kitchen play resources are carefully developed to reduce risk while encouraging imaginative play. Designs follow British Retail Consortium food imitation guidance.
While some items may visually resemble real food, they are deliberately designed to:
-
Exceed recommended choking hazard sizes
-
Have textures, weights and smells that differ from real food
-
Be clearly identifiable when handled
Children must always be guided and supervised by an adult during use.
Fizzy Play Products
-
Fizzy products are not food and must not be eaten or drunk
-
Intended for fizzy sensory play only, under close adult supervision
-
Not suitable for bath use
-
Avoid contact with eyes; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with clean water
-
Wash hands after use
Fabric Mats
Fabric mats are designed for small world and imaginative play and should be used under adult supervision at all times. They are intended for children aged 3 years and over.
These mats are:
-
For play use only
-
Not intended for sitting, sleeping, crawling or use as an anti-slip or floor mat
-
Not suitable for children who mouth objects or for unsupervised use
Some mats may include raised, textured or moveable fabric elements. Mats should be checked regularly for loose threads, wear, or damage and use should be discontinued if the mat is no longer in good condition.
Fabric mats should always be placed on a stable surface during play and used as part of a supervised activity. Adult guidance is required to ensure safe and appropriate use, particularly when mats are used alongside loose parts or small world accessories.
Care Instructions:
Resin Resources
Resin items are durable and designed for repeated use, however they should be handled with care to maintain their appearance and longevity.
-
Wipe clean with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly after use
-
Suitable for indoor and outdoor play, including sand, water and messy play
-
Do not leave items submerged in water for prolonged periods
-
Avoid warm or hot water
-
Do not expose to direct heat or prolonged sunlight, as this may cause softening, warping, or colour fading
-
Exposure to heat may cause resin to soften and become flexible. While it may be possible to gently reshape the item when warm, excessive heat can result in permanent damage
If a resin item becomes damaged, cracked or develops sharp edges, discontinue use immediately and dispose of it safely.
3D Printed (PLA) Resources
3D printed items are made from PLA and should be cared for gently to avoid damage.
-
Wipe clean using a cool, damp cloth, or briefly rinse under cold water
-
Dry thoroughly before storing
-

-
Avoid direct sunlight, hot water or high temperatures
-

-
Strongly pigmented or fizzy play materials may stain PLA items
If an item becomes damaged or misshapen, stop using it immediately.
